What is a consultant?
Consultants are hired to assist management solve marketing, management,
manufacturing, or other problems by providing:
- Direction and focus,
- Specialized analytical skills,
- Experience and knowledge gained from previous assignments, and
- Objectivity
Consultants will:
- Define a project's goal and scope.
- Develop, with management, a detailed proposal to document how project
work will be done to achieve desired goals and intermediate milestones.
- Submit a detailed proposal for client acceptance.
- Maintain confidentiality during, and after, an assignment.
- NEVER accept a conflicting assignment.
Consultants provide their clients with:
- Objective options,
- Defined project objectives and goals,
- Specific results,
- A methodology to perform similar future work,
- Practical solutions with known costs, and
- A defined time frame for project or task completion.
