Industrial marketing services FAQs
How do you develop a scope of work for a job?We need a number of meetings, phone and face-to-face with our clients to develop a scope of work that meets a prospective client's needs. We probe by asking open-ended questions to determine their true requirements. After that is established, we develop a project outline, followed by a detailed scope of work, and later a comprehensive draft proposal itemizing the proposed tasks, schedule, reporting, deliverables and costs. After a review of a draft, we prepare and present a final proposal. How do we understand what tasks are to be completed? After the clients review the proposed tasks, we discuss the need for each one. The final proposal only contains those tasks agreed upon by our client's top management. Can you really find high-performing manufacturers' agents?Yes. We having been identifying, screening, interviewing, and contracting with, high performing manufacturers' agents for over 30 years. It is a time consuming process, but every good principal can attract high quality agents. Have you done a project like ours before?Probably. In our 40+ year history, we see a repeating pattern of client requirements. Chances are we have previously developed a methodology to accomplish what you desire. However, you always have to obtain current market information to make informed decisions. Most of our assignments require market research and analysis, reporting, development of conclusions and recommendations, strategic and tactical planning, plan development and eventual implementation assistance. For the identification of manufacturers' agents, we have developed a complete book of the proprietary forms and methods we employ. Do you bring unique skills to your clients? That's also a hard question. But we do serve as advisors to many manufacturers' operating boards. We also help management screen and hire personnel for top level sales or marketing positions. How long will it take to complete my assignment? That depends on the assignment. Most assignments last a minimum of a few months, and most require six months to a year. Manufacturers' agent assignments last between 90-120 days per MANA territory. What types of deliverables will we receive? It depends on the project, but typically clients receive bound market research and analysis reports, written strategy and tactics, bound plans, and written copies of any significant information developed or obtained during the project. Most written documentation is available to our clients on PC disk using most common available software. Major project deliverables are provided in hard copy and electronic media, as required.
