For this Midwest company manufacturing roll-formed products, Koch Group consultants evaluated the client web site and helped rewrite, redesign, and remarket it, resulting in increased sales and new customers. SITUATIONLocation: Midwest The client’s web site was attractive, linked through the Thomas Register, but was not driving traffic that resulted in developing solid inquiries, quotes, or sales. The client asked Koch Group to determine why the web site was not performing as they thought it should. ACTIONKoch Group evaluated the client web site by conducting a variety of searches
by keywords, phrases, product categories, and company names to determine
the ability of internet users to find the client site. Koch Group Internet
searches used all major search engines and major directories. Koch Group then provided the client a formal report including recommendations for a new site design and layout and revised content requirements. Immediately after receiving the report, the client asked Koch Group to move forward with the redevelopment of their web site. Koch Group consultants redeveloped the site using some existing technical material, but providing new text, traffic-driving web pages, and new, fast loading graphics. RESULTSKoch Group completed the redevelopment of the client’s site and re-launched it in 90 days. The site is ranked now #1 and #2 on major search engines for keywords, phrases, product categories, and company name. In its first 3 months of operation, the site developed over 120 new customers and is averaging over $65,000 a month in new incremental business.
